Curiosity Landing @ Ames

Even though this happened long time ago, I would like to talk about my experience:

My family and I went to NASA Ames... I was a VIP and got to go to the VIP room. There was snacks there. Anyway... I went to see some exibhits, one of them had a shuttle landing simulation. I almost landed perfectly! There was a tlak by Chris McKay.. I liked the part where he tlaked that there are two types of protein, left-handed( like everything on Earth) and right-handed. Left-handed prpteins only "stack" with left-handed proteins and so forth. If we find right-handed proteins on Mars that would be amazing... There was other talks. For example, In NASA Ames' Wind Tunnel, the parachute that helped land MSL was tested.

On that day, we could see the International Space Station(ISS) and Mars in the sky. It was a great day!  

Now, The Mars Curiosity rover survived the "brain surgery" and since the rover landed in a alluvial fan, -- which are created when water deposits sediment-- Curiosity is going to look for more clues for water :

"A vast alluvial fan blossoms across the desolate landscape between the Kunlunand Altun mountain ranges that form the southern border of the Taklamakan Desert in Xinjiang. The left side is the active part of the fan, and appears blue from water flowing in the many small streams" - Wikipedia

CBS 13 news

Hi, Here is the clip of the CBS news. We were in the studio for about 3 hours. Did a recording for a morning talk show "Good Day Sacramento" , we both got to sing "Happy Birthday" for our dad on live TV !It was a surprise for him ! Didn't get the video of that :-( . Later they shot the segment for the news, our reporter Cody Stark loves to joke, we had fun with him. -- Tanishq

Oh my!

Oh my, what 2 weeks it's been...... overwhelming, fun , excitement for our family after the release of the THNKR show "PRODIGIES"....their Youtube gone viral...in 24 hrs about 50,000 hits....in the midst of calls & emails from reporters and producers, we balance our lives and keep up with the hectic schedule of both kids... there's always something new happening in our lives....life as a mom to child prodigies is different....their energy, their passion, their intensities, their aspirations, their quirks can just wear you down at times and wish you could escape to a tranquil world but all that feelings melt away seeing their eyes twinkle and their joys when they achieve their dreams !

Yesterday, one of our friends said "You must be a proud & happy mom seeing Tanishq interviewed on CNN at 9 yrs old" ...my response ..."yes, but ..." and the reply " this is the result of your hard work and sacrifices for the last 9 years of parenting "

Yesterday night....was a melt down ... our little Einstein didn't want to sleep ...he hates it so much... that we had to sit up till 1am trying to convince the importance of sleep ...which just went to deaf ears....finally drifted off to sleep on my lap....melts your heart to see that innocent face at rest....

Being parents to 2 such child geniuses have humbled us as adults........

Tanishq is Back!

 I am back from hibernation!  I just finished an exam yesterday! Did good... am taking a nutrition online college class. I have learned about food safety. ..would love to share what I learned in my Nutrition course.. Today is my CNN show at 4:45 PM ET! I was on FOX40, News10, ABC and now CNN! Did you see a the triangle in the night sky becuase of Moon, Mars, and Regulus?

Such event might only happen once every hundered million years or so! Why? This is because Regulus is a star(it is really not, it is probably a eclipsing binary system. It orbits the the galactic center of the Milky Way which takes probably less than 230 million years(How long it takes the Sun to orbit the galalctic center of the Milky Way) or more. It depends Where Regulus is located in the Milky Way.

Venus is the brightest object in the sky. Mars is the red-looking star. It has this retrograde motion because of Earth and Mars in their orbit around the Sun
